“JUDO” GENE LEBELL IN STUDIO THIS SUNDAY TALKING ABOUT SUPERMAN..AND THE CLIPPERS ON THE MOVE?
**Martial Arts Hall of Famer “Judo” Gene LeBell, regarded as the “Toughest Man Alive” will be with me at noon on KTLK 1150 this Sunday September 3rd. Why, you ask, is a martial arts guru coming on my general talk show? Well, turns out that the movie “HOLLYWODLAND”–which deals with the death of actor George “Superman” Reeves–will be released on Friday September 8th. Starring Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Adrien Brody and Bob Hoskins, it delves into the theory that Reeves was actually murdered and didn’t commit suicide, as has been the story since 1959. LeBell was Reeves’ trainer and one of his closest confidants, and has some very shocking things to say about the incident. Needless to say, it should be a great hour. In case you can’t hear it, I’m going to replay the interview Monday during the show from 12-3 on AM 570. I’ll be filling in for the Cannons live from Pacific BMW in Glendale……
**A source close to the Clippers reports that they’re talking with 710 about moving their games there for the 2006-2007 season. When I recommended that they pick up the Clips prior to them going to KTLK 1150, 710 management wanted nothing to do with the Clippers, calling them a “second-rate franchise that will never be a factor in this town.” Interesting how the prospect of losing the Angels after the season will change one’s thinking, isn’t it?………
