Continuing to rid themselves of anyone I hired, the oustanding management team at kspn fired versatile and loyal-to-the-end
Dave Stone today. As with everyone else…Doug…Rod Van Hook…me…no reason was given. Which is not surprising..since they continue to make stupid moves. And most stupid moves are made with no reason……..

The new muppet running things over there gave a long interview to LARadio.com claiming that kspn will be the number one station in LA. Not just sports…but number one overall. Well…when he gets out of rehab…he might want to rethink things. Especially when he brags in the interview that he made a great move in dropping traffic reports from the station’s programming. Let me see….you want to be the number one station in town….but you boast “if people want traffic reports, they know where to go.” Essentially sending listeners–and potential listeners–to the news stations in town. Or to us at 570..where they can get everything at one place on the dial. And they don’t have to listen to 19 hours of syndicated programming. Sounds like brilliant strategy to me.

All of which makes me thank God–literally–every morning that I’m working for a company–Clear Channel–and a PD–Don Martin–who have a clue. And I’d say it if they fired me tomorrow. They’ve been great to me and fair. But most importantly….they’ve been honest…something I rarely experienced at kspn under the three stooges……..
