NOTES FOR TUESDAY MAY 30, 2006
For the time being…we’re not allowing any comments on the stories posted here. We’re getting KILLED with spam…and until we can find a way to filter it..the comments are shut off. If you want to respond…just click the email Joe button on the left……
Don’t forget to sign up for the free tickets for Dodger games on the next homestand………..
If you’re waiting for the previously reported sex scandal to break….you’ll be waiting for a while longer. The writer who has the information has chosen–for the time being–to hold back the story. I’ll keep you updated when I know more………
To all the Shaq-haters out there: Feeling pretty dumb right now, aren’t you?………
We find out the Lakers DID ask for D Wade in the Shaq deal. Pat Riley told them no. So…now we know the Laker management is not only incompetent…but gutless as well. Message to Mitch, Jimmy and Jerry: No Wade, then there should have been no trade. Geniuses……
So far my AM 570 predictions are rolling….Shaq versus Dirk in the Finals……
Isn’t it great to see the Suns falling apart? And there won’t be any coming back this time………..
If the Angels indeed have a chance to get Alphonso Soriano….what are they waiting for? He solves every offensive problem they have for the next ten years. Time to give up some of the touted youngsters for a proven big league all star………
Same goes for the Dodgers and Soriano……….
Loved seeing Brad Penny go wild in Atlanta. The Dodgers are a very bland team and it’s good to see some personality seep through….even if it was in a negative situation. I also love Penny’s grit…but if he’s hurt, he needs to shut it down. We–and he–don’t need a repeat of 2004. He’s MUCH too valuable for that to happen……..
Don’t believe the reviews. The DaVinci Code is OUTSTANDING. Take it for what it is–a crime/drama thriller. It’s NOT a documentary…and doesn’t claim to be……….
X Men III kicked ass at the box office–120 mil over the weekend. Elizabeth and I saw it on Friday and it was OK…but not nearly as good as the first two. Actually…I was pretty disappointed. It seemed to go all over the place….people coming back from the dead for no reason and people dying for no reason. And not big enough of a role for Logan/Wolverine/Hugh Jackman……
Congrats to Barry Bonds. And remember folks–if he did do steroids he wasn’t violating any baseball drug testing policies at the time. So, quit hating and celebrate a magnificent feat. Hopefully he’ll last long enough to reach Hank Aaron’s 755 and break it……….
